Child in the City 2012

30 Jan

The European Network of Child Friendly Cities (ENCFC) and the Child in the City Foundation have announced the 6th international Child in the City Conference to be held in Zagreb, Croatia on 26-28 September, 2012.

Initiated in Bruges, Belgium in 2002, this is a popular bi-annual event for all those interested in research, innovation and developing practice in how the public realm of our modern towns and cities can better respond to children. Children’s geographers, urban planners, architects and landscape architects, as well as play practitioners, designers and advocates for children’s rights will find common ground in the conference’s search for better ways to promote children’s agency in the modern world.

The programme committee has identified four themes for the conference; healthplaychildren’s rights and intergenerational interaction.
